Shrimp Creole
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup canola oil
1 cup chopped bell pepper
2 cups chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups whole tomatoes
2 tbs. garlic powder
1 tbs. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. black pepper
1 bay leaf
2 tbs. cornstarch
1 tsp. Paprika
3 lbs. frozen party shrimp
1 tsp. salt
3 cups water
DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat vegetable oil. Add bell pepper, onions, & celery.
Cook until vegetables are tender. Add tomatoes & cook 3
or 4 minutes more. Add cayenne, paprika, bay leaf, garlic
powder, pepper, salt, & Water. Simmer over low heat for 15
to 20 minutes. Add Shrimp & cook 15 minutes more. Mix
cornstarch in 1/2cup water & add to shrimp mixture.
Serve over cooked rice.
