Vanilla slice



Vanilla slice is a type of cake. It consists of a thick custard sauce, which is traditionally flavoured with vanilla, and which is sandwiched between flakey puff pastry and iced with either vanilla or raspberry glaze.

It is commonly sold in milk bars and cake shops in Australia and is often referred to as a 'Snot Block' due to the consistency of the custard.
