Coddled egg
In cooking, coddled eggs are slightly cooked eggs; see coddling. One recipe calls for boiling water to be poured over the egg and let the egg and water stand for 10 minutes. Because the coddled eggs are still raw, the risk of salmonella poisoning remains.
