Apple cake
Apple cake is a cake containing or topped with apples. As there are many different types of cake dough, there are also many different types of apple cake. Nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon are the spices most commonly associated with apple cake, and nuts, the most popular being walnuts and almonds, are often added.
