  • Sweet peppers — 3 pieces
  • Halloumi cheese — 250 grams
  • Yeast bread — 8 pieces
  • Wine vinegar — 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil — 2 tablespoons
  • Sauce tzatziki or hummus for serving — to taste
  • Salt — to taste
  • Pepper — to taste
  • Fresh mint chopped — to taste

Method of preparation

  1. Clean pepper and cut into strips. Turn on the grill to medium. Place the strips of pepper on a baking sheet, brush with half of olive oil and bake under the grill for 10-12 minutes, turning several times.

  2. Halloumi cheese cut into thick slices and place on top of the pepper on a baking sheet, bake for 5 minutes until light Browning. Then put on a dish.

  3. Fry grilled slices of bread for 2-3 minutes.

  4. For the filling mix in a bowl the remaining oil, vinegar, salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Place toasted bread on plates, top lay slices of peppers and cheese, drizzle with dressing and sprinkle with chopped mint. Season, if necessary.

  6. Serve with tzatziki sauce or hummus.
